It 's best to keep Dostoevsky in the dark regarding their ' and anyone else 's ' relationship. Professional or otherwise. That just paints unnecessary targets on everyone 's backs. Plus, Dazai shares history with the man. Chuuya 's presence inside would be distracting.

And Dazai is the boss, which means that his word goes, regardless of Chuuya 's personal opinion.

But that doesn 't mean that he enjoys standing here, not knowing what is happening inside, whether Dazai currently has his hands around Dostoevsky 's neck or whether they are having tea and reminiscing over old times.
