Chapter 29 - A Lamentation of What Was and What Is to Be
Your fingers caressed your bottom lip where his kiss had been.
Phantom touches left behind from hands that have long since released you could still be felt through your clothes; your only proof that you hadn 't just imagined everything as you sat there dazed and alone in his room.
Your attention turned towards the door as you listened intently for a sign of his return.
When the knocking from earlier had become more insistent, the voice on the other side more impatient, Levi had sighed, his breath fanning warmly across your throat. It seemed his strategy of ignoring the intruder wasn 't going to work. And so he had stepped back and released the grasp he had on your thighs. His gaze had been avoidant when he turned from you, hands going to his hair to hastily comb through it.
