You struggled to stay asleep.

Your blankets lay in a heap beside your bed, thrown off in frustration after they had tangled between your legs during all your tossing and turning.

They had made you feel too hot and constricted, anyway.

You couldn 't help but wonder if you weren 't the only one struggling to sleep at that moment, too. If there was perhaps another who also laid wide awake, plagued by incessant thoughts rather than being blessed with pleasant dreams.

Did he think of you, as you thought of him?

You certainly hoped so.

You rubbed the back of your hand, over the spot where Eld 's lips had been, finding yourself wishing it had been his lips instead.

What would you have done, had it been him that confessed instead? Would you have had an answer, unlike with Eld?

You hated that the answer was mostly likely 'yes. ' After all, you hardly knew the man. At least not in any way that really mattered.
