Lihaku was a simple man, he followed orders, did his due diligence, enjoyed training and sparring with his squad. A true golden retriever he wagged his tail for all sorts, strict leaders, lenient ones, scary ones, smart ones, he was truly adaptable in ways of socialness. Making friends eliminated enemies because now they were friendly.
He found people interesting and their quirks as points of connection rather than obstacles to work around. Maomao calling her biological father, the Grand Commandant 'old fart '? Sure, why not? Not like he can call him that any other time, and how many times had he whispered that fact to a disgruntled soldier and they walked away in a laughing fit, no longer mad at the strategist. His scruffy hair and playful grin had deescalated plenty of altercations.
