Eren hummed as he awoke to dim morning sun and the distant tweeting of birds. The forest was at peace after a long evening of festivities, but it wouldn 't be long before the colony woke to resume their celebrations. Smaller and more casual events would be held over the next few days; meals shared between family and friends, wishes made for a prosperous autumn and a forgiving winter, and for the newly bonded couples, there was often a hollow-warming of sorts. Although, he and Levi 's lack of a local address meant they would probably have to sit that one out.

Eren sighed and rolled over onto his side, soaking up the warmth that lingered in the cotton as he idly rubbed his foot against Levi 's. He was sure they had slept too long, but that wasn 't a worry on a day like today. All they had to do was relax and eat platefuls of delicious food.
