CHAPTER LII: Lovely

Anya woke up, warmed by the delicious sunlight and a reassuring presence in her back. She stretched in the silk-soft sheets, turning around. A huge smile appeared on her face as she took in Damian sleeping deeply. One hand was on his stomach, the other above his head and the sheets had gathered around his hips, showing his muscular body, glistening in the morning sun like a Greek god.

He took a deep breath, turning his head to hers, still asleep, as if sensing her gaze. His black hair, a bit curlier than usual and far messier after a night 's sleep (and what had happened

before

going to sleep) fell over his forehead.

His long eyelashes shivered as his eyes fluttered open. Dark forest green, hazel and gold mixed, lit up by the sunlight, a thousand colours moving like oil on water, as his gaze met hers. A sleepy smile stretched on his face. Hers widened.
