Chapter 5 - Gran Gran

A little old lady walked the dirt path with a woven basket on her back. She hummed to herself as she moseyed her way through town. Everyone waved at her and smiled- not a malicious frown in sight for such a sweet old lady. The old woman has helped this village more than anyone could have asked for. She came out of nowhere but the people loved her and appreciated her wondrous help.

The older woman passed by an orphanage that had kids playing and running about. A young boy ran to her then stopped as he hopped up and down in excitement, 'Hi gran gran can I get a Shuko? '

The woman chuckled delightfully, 'Oooh~ of course you can. ' Digging into her side bag with a wavering hand she pulled out a bag of Shukos. Little small beads of candy that you pick from a candy flower. 'Make sure you share with the others. '

The boy 's gapped tooth smile widened upon his face as he thanked the older woman profusely. 'Thank you thank you! ' And then he was off with more energy to his steps. The other kids swarmed to him for a piece of the delightful candy.

'Hmmhmm~. ' The woman sang a song to herself continuing on her journey. Her weary eyes passed by a wanted poster of an Omega named Raven. A pretty hearty amount of crystals to be rewarded to the person who brought her in unharmed and unclaimed. It had been two weeks now since those posters had gone up. Two men stood by one of the posters as they spoke about what they would do if they could receive the money.

'I would get a harem of babes~. '

'Oh hey gran gran! ' They looked over their shoulder as she walked by.

'Good evening~. '

'Have you seen this pretty thing while traveling? '

'No no~ can 't say I have boys~ And even if I did you know my memory is fleeting, can barely remember what I ate this morning for breakfast. ' She joked making the boys smile.

'Well, come to us if you remember gran gran. '

'Will do~. '

The sun was now setting, casting a nice glow upon the town. Just as the woman got to the medical clinic, the doctor pushed her wooden windows open to let some air in as she smoked her long pipe. Her face lit up with a smile when she saw who was walking down the path. 'Oh! Gran gran! Those herbs you gave me were phenomenal! '

'Hello Shoko~ I 'm happy to hear they worked. I also picked these purple licas for you. ' As the woman shifted the basket off her back to retrieve the herbs the younger woman looked surprised.

'Granny! ' The traveling doctor gasped. 'Those only bloom at night! How did you get your hands on those with the woods being so dangerous? Please do not tell me you went in by yourself! '

'Oh hoho~ this little old woman has her own secrets that she must keep~. ' Handing the herbs over the doctor didn 't take them right away, her face creases in disbelief. Then she sighed taking the herbs from her.

'Here. ' The woman handed over a nice-sized bag of crystals.

'Shoko ' ' the older woman grumbled looking into the bag, 'This is way too many. '

'No, it 's not. You have been selling me these herbs for a shorter price than what they really are and I know these cost a lot more than what you were going to ask for

. '

'Well use it for the building- '

'No gran gran. You do entirely too much for entirely too little, please come inside, I made tea you stubborn lady. '

The woman sighed as she finally conceded, 'It would appear my stubbornness is rubbing off on you. '

Shoko smirked, 'So it has. '

~

The two women laughed and told stories as they enjoyed some tea. It was always a pleasure for Shoko to speak to Gran Gran. The older woman was a traveling seller and a blessing to the town. She was able to help her out with a lot of her patience with the herbs she collected. The elder woman had so much knowledge that she had passed on to her for little to nothing in return.

As they finished their tea Shoko cleared her throat a bit, there was always one huge question on her mind about the woman. 'The place ' the place you are going to 'why are you trying to reach the Lost Island? '

Old fingers tapped on the porcelain glass. 'It 's ' important. ' Was all she gave and all she ever gave.

'

Right

' I 'm sure you have your reasons for not telling me, but you are either going to need your own boat or someone stupid enough to take you there. People who go there don 't come back. ' The space around them settled into quietness. Shoko had told the woman before she didn 't think it wise for her to travel to the island but she always insisted- stubborn woman. She and a few other people were the only ones she had told about her true plans for her adventure and that only led to more questions. Why? Morbid curiosity? Shoko was a woman of science so she could understand but still. What did an older woman achieve from going to a place that no one returns from?

'I must. ' The woman 's tone was stern. It sounded like Shoko would not be able to convince her otherwise.

'Okay ' well you are gonna need your own boat or enough money for someone to take you. Those crystals would be a good head start. '

'Thank you, Shoko. ' The woman smiled sweetly.

'Alright let me clean this up. ' Getting up Shoko gathered the cups as she still spoke out loud. 'Do you need me to travel with you? I 'm going to be heading to the next town tomorrow. ' As she put the cups in the sink she didn 't hear anything. Her brows furrowed as she went back to the table to see it empty, except for the bag of crystals. 'Dammit, you old hag! '

***

Gran Gran was the name they came up with. You thought it was cute so you stuck with it. It wasn 't your first plan to disguise yourself as an older woman but when the wanted posters came out you had no choice. With all the knowledge you had and the sudden appearance, it only made sense for you to disguise yourself as a widowed beta who was making one last life journey across the map, while spreading goodness. That way when you disappear ' no one would be as sad. They would just think the old woman who waddled through town with sweets and herbs found her resting spot.

It made people look at you sideways anytime you told them you were going to the lost island, as if you were on a suicide mission. So you stopped telling them, letting them know you were trying to find your place. Shoko was the last person you told. You trusted her. She told you people disappear there but no one ever knows why. You wonder if that meant it was a portal to your world or ' just a really dangerous place. Either or you had to see it for yourself.

You were in your final town, on the outskirts of the water. As you sipped your tea you looked outside of the inn window. You were almost there. You could have made it here a lot sooner if you didn 't undersell your items and give most of your money to the orphanage and other charity cases. You were absolutely much too kind for your own good. Despite telling yourself this is just a game you couldn 't think otherwise. You felt your heartache. You felt the need to help them. So far your journey has been great. The first glob monster you fought was scary but for the most part, you got over that fear and gained experience points. The little dust of experience points absorbing into your body was pretty funny and even tickled. Dove was a healer in the game while your alphas were the fighters. Now you were a mage but knowing how to use herbs helped with the healing and poison part.

Now it was soon to be over. Fear set heavy in your stomach. So far the game has been very close to your reality, so there should be a portal to exit there, but what if there wasn 't? What happens if you die in the game? How do you save? Is there any save option? You wish you had all the powers! You were silently cursing at this idea when someone had sat on the opposite side of you. The movement caught your eye as you looked up to find Toji Fushiguro sitting across from you with a nice smile.

WHAT THE F-

'So you 're the magical gran gran? ' He smirked as he stirred his tea with one hand leaning back lazily in the wooden chair.

Yes- of course! You are gran gran- he can 't see through your disguise! He can 't smell you! You 've been so cautious! What the hell is he doing here speaking to an old lady.

THINK LIKE AND OLD LADY.

You forced a smile on your lips, 'Yes, that would be me ' to what do I earn the pleasure of your company? ' slowly you lifted the cup to your lips, you were trembling but that could just be passed off as being old! You blocked your scent glands so he wouldn 't know you were nervous. You couldn 't smell his yummy alpha scent. There was a hint of it but it wasn 't overpowering like at the castle. Something you realized was most people control their scents, they push it out when they want to. These assholes wanted everyone to smell them when they arrived- they didn 't have to make it so suffocating!

Toji pulled a scroll of paper out of his pocket and laid it on the table as it unrolled. The

WANTED

poster of you was revealed before your eyes. You took a long sip of tea before placing the cup down. 'Oh my my my the omega? If I would have known where she was I would have been swimming in crystals by now. ' You gave him one of your old lady chuckles, placing a dainty hand against your cheek.

Toji snickered handsomely, his scared lips pulled up into a sideways grin, black shirt tight on his body no longer wearing his ceremonial kimono. His voice was rough and grizzly as he spoke, 'And what would a sweet old lady do with all those crystals? '

God, he was so hot.

'Stop it now think gross things think gross things! '

You can block your scent all you want but once you start getting wet there 's no blocking that. Your laugh died down as you shrugged lightly, 'Probably give it away. I don 't have long. I 'll soon be gone. ' You said it truthfully but you noticed a questioning twitch in Toji 's black eyebrow. Maybe that was too morbid for him.

'Hm ' ' he hummed pulling the wanted poster off the table as he rolled it up calmly. His eyes were a bit distant as he stood. 'Thank you for your time. ' He tossed a few crystals on the table for the tea.

'What- what ' ' you stopped him from going, confused about his search for you, was he angry? Was everyone angry at you? 'What would you need that money for my prime alpha? ' You were well aware that they had plenty of money. What would he need the reward for?

'Huh? ' He snorted, 'I 'm not looking for her because of the money. We are the ones paying for who finds her. '

You blinked a few times, 'Oh, of course ' why is that? '

A huge smile broke on his face, 'Why wouldn 't we look for our chosen omega? '

'Ch- chosen? Oohohooho. ' You began to laugh but deep down you were screaming.

CHOSEN OMEGA!?

'Wow! This Raven girl must be something for you to choose her! '

Toji nodded, leaning on the table with his palms flat on the surface as he got closer to your face, 'We all agreed she 'd be ours. The reason I picked her was because she 's interesting. She did this cute little dance where she shook her ass and I want her to do that on my lap. So if you see her be sure to tell her

daddy

needs another dance. '

You didn 't realize you were holding your breath. You didn 't realize how close he was to your face and you didn 't realize how absolutely wet that made you. 'I-I 'll be a-s-sure to l-let her know ' ' your voice squeaked.

He winked at you, 'thanks. ' As he straightened, you watched him walk out of the inn. Once the door closed behind him, you finally let go of the breath you were holding. You shot up and ran for your room. You needed to get out of here, and fast. Getting your bag together you quickly threw the sack over your shoulder. Peeking out the window you saw Toji walking inland. You run to the opposite window pushing it open as you jump out of it, making sure to leave some crystals for the inn. There was no time for formal farewells. You can go along the coast and find another port to take you across the water. You didn 't need them to go to the island with you, just take you close enough for you to embark on a small boat! Just as your shoe touched the sand you heard a voice.

'Going somewhere ' ' Snapping your gaze to your left you were met with red eyes staring at you. Just as you registered who he was Sukuna finished his sentence. ' 'little

omega

. '

You were off. Within a flash, you ditched your sack darting across the sand and into the forest. Your disguise wavered away as you used all of your energy into your running. Your old lady sweater and skirt hug you snuggly as you skipped off like a leaping gazelle. You heard Sukuna 's laughter echo in the trees as he chased after you. Every critter and monster ran away feeling the beast 's presence. He must have been pushing out his scent because it soaked into your flesh like a heated blanket.

'I love a good chase! ' He growled, his voice above you.

You whipped your hand back screaming, '

Gesto

! ' An arc of wind flung from your hand catching Sukuna by surprise. He was smacked with it flying across the forest. That sent you into another panic.

YOU JUST HIT AN ALPHA- A PRIME ALPHA- FUCKING SUKUNA WITH MAGIC!

You bounced off again ducking and dodging twisted limbs as you ran some more. Fear pumped in your veins like an oil to a machine. You weren 't sure what you were afraid of. Quite possibly what the men would do to you when they got you. A part of you was excited about that but the other part screamed to run. Both sides tangled into a whirlwind of chaos. Your breath heaved and your limbs move on autopilot, with one thing in mind- Run. Where? Who knows. Just 'run.

A twig snapped to your right and you looked that way, a scream ripped from your throat as you watched Sukuna in his true form bulldozing through the trees like a fiend. '

Come on Omega! Hit me with another! '

You weren 't doing it because he said so you did it because you were trying to fight him away. You swung another arc of wind at him and he dodged it disappearing above the trees. This occurred a few more times but you never hit him again. Only barely missing him. You don 't know how long this cat and mouse game lasted, but your limbs were starting to get tired, and your body starting to feel like it did when you overworked yourself. Just as you ran into an opening Toji jumped down in front of you. You skidded to a halt but 'momentum had sent you flying into his chest like a hard wall and then flopping on the forest floor. You were panting heavily trying to gasp for air as you threw yourself around, crawling to get up but falling back down. Your chest felt like it was collapsing as you sucked in oxygen.

'Why do you struggle omega? You are only making our alphas '

excited

. ' There was a sense of a growl when he said excited, but you ignored his suggestion, climbing to your feet as you started up a new run. Just as you pushed off you were tackled to the ground by something heavy.

'

Gotcha

. ' Sukuna had you by all four limbs as you laid out on your back, he was panting above you like a wild animal that finally caught its prey, his teeth glistened with saliva.

Toji looked down at you with a nice grin. The moon behind the two alphas looking upon you like a delectable piece of meat. When did it turn to night? You could barely keep your eyes open, your body begging for surrender. This second knockout took the rest of your energy. You felt two hands upon your wrists and two upon your calf and thigh, you could also feel something very hard pressing into your cunt, but you could barely focus on that as you closed your eyes. You tried your best to not slip into darkness, breathing deeply as you listened to the alphas talk about you.

'

I told you she was going to run ' '

'You wanted her to run. ' You hear Toji chuckle.

'I did ' it was a nice chase. I want to fuck her now. '

'Relax. We gotta take her back home first, can you keep yourself contained until then? '

Sukuna snorted, '

Can you? '

The two alphas shared a devious laugh as they pulled you off the ground and over Sukuna 's shoulder.

You finally were able to mumble some words out, 'Uh ' no 'ah 'where ' where are we going 'ah ' ' Forcing your eyelids apart you saw the forest moving below you.

'We are going home omega. '

Your eyes finally shut close. You lose the battle to the darkness. Within the swarm of your mind, you weren 't sure if you should be excited, scared, or perhaps both.
