Chapter 2 - Preparations
'And a ' one two three 'one two three 'one two three~ ' Mei Mei clapped her hands as she watched all of you dance in the garden. Once a week she held practice to teach the opening ceremony. One thing you loved about Raven-
and probably the only thing
- was she was super flexible. Your limbs have never felt so nimble. You could kiss the ground with your crotch without stretching and back bend till you touched your toes. It was incredible. You also had stamina like no other, you barely broke a sweat while dancing. Raven 's character attributes must be insane, too bad her personality was a fat zero.
Could you possibly hope that you could use that to your advantage? You could be nice? Would that work? The problem was ' would you risk it? This could be your only chance to get out and if you miss it you will end up with Mahito. Or let 's say you do become head omega, then what? You live your life here, within the unknown? Mated to five alphas? That sounded like a dream come true but you would need to gain enough of their '
love points '.
If one alpha drops to the red or dislikes you by the mating moon, then you are rejected- end of the game! Let 's say you past that! Then what?! You have their pups!? They were ' insane. All five of them, Nanami was probably the only sane one and even he had his moments. You would be their precious omega but what did that truly entail? You were a woman with a free mind and soul. Omega life was not your life, only on the days when you were feeling depraved and wanting some spice in your life while reading fanfics or playing some simulation dating game. No. It wasn 't supposed to be your life. Only when you choose to dive into it and then you have the choice to hop out. Here you don 't have that option. You needed to go home.
'Gooood~ ' Mei Mei smiled as practice ended with a pretty bow from everyone. Soft chatter burst from the others as you moved toward the library. You needed to finish your preparations. You only had a week left.
'Ooooh Raven! ' Mei Mei halted your journey. You turned to her as she gave you a sweet smile. Good God, she was soooo pretty. Why did she have to practically be an omega farm owner? Technically no one saw it as wrong in this dimension but it was wrong on so many levels where you are from. This whole game was.
'Yes ma 'am? ' You bowed your head politely to her. She was the only one in the home Raven was respectful to.
'Have you been practicing your dance? '
No
.
'Yes. '
'Oooh I can 't wait to see it. Be sure to practice your song with the bards. '
The bards?
Mei Mei must have noticed the confused look on your face before you could fix it. 'Raven ' my good girl you must give your song to the bards immediately! Come come! ' Before you could deflect her proposal she hooked her arm around your waist and dragged you in the opposite direction of the library.
'The ceremony is next week and the bards must practice and you have to practice with your song how will you be able to dance your best! Do not get cocky now! ' Mei Mei babbled all the way to the ceremony room. It was large, with a few tables sitting around with red covers, golden candles, and plates. Your feet slapped across the cold golden floors that sparkled. Five huge thrones sit upon the platform, stone steps reached up to them. Just looking at them made you feel small. The alphas were in fact big. You noticed Dove was in the ceremony room practicing her dance.
'Beautiful! That was beautiful! ' Yuuji exclaimed happily as he sat down his lute. Megumi, his beta partner stood next to him with a flute in hand. Their instruments were absolutely beautiful and their garments looked like royalty. Soft and plushy with other accessories. Megumi wore dark blue while Yuuji wore dark red. When they saw you coming they looked at you with indifference. Dove looked at you shyly and took a step toward the two.
Ah yes. The bards Yuuji Itadori brother of Sukuna and Megumi Fushiguro son of Toji. They were a beta duo that traveled and played music. The best around. You never really see them in the game but when you interact with them they are as sweet as could be. Megumi was eh but Yuuji brought enough sweet for the both of them.
'Boys~ ' Mei Mei stopped in front of them as she slapped her hand on top of your shoulder. 'I need you to learn Raven 's song for her dance, please. Come Dove you 've had enough practice. '
Ooooh~ that 's probably why you never see them as much, you remember Raven hogs them to herself to practice her dance over and over again.
'Yes ma 'am. ' Dove bowed and then swiftly walked with Mei Mei with hurried steps not giving you a second glance.
Your gaze followed them out and once gone you looked back at the bards with a nervous gulp.
'What song do you want? ' Yuuji questioned. His eyes were neither cold nor soft. How should you approach them? Was Raven mean to them? If they were doing her song why would she be mean to them? They were also related to the alphas so it would be wise to be nice to them right? Maybe she was nice to those who could give her something. You didn 't know so you just went with a neutral flow.
'Hello. ' You nodded your head at them. Song? You didn 't know any songs from this place. What about the songs of the game? Were those songs they knew? 'Song ' right ' umm ' '
'We also do customizable songs. ' Megumi offered seeing as you were thinking hard.
A custom song? You instantly got reminded of the funny TikToks you had seen of bards playing club music. You released a small laugh making the boys raise a brow. 'Sorry sorry~ ' you cleared your throat, 'Okay I want to do a custom song. Um ' here 's the melody ' ' you hum out your favorite song and they listened intently.
'Like this? ' They began to play and you smiled.
'Yeah, that 's fantastic! You guys are amazing! ' You clapped excitedly, it sounded better than the original! How did they do that?
Yuuji looked a bit taken aback by your praise, he glanced at Megumi but then he offered you a tiny smile. 'Thanks ' um, would you like to practice? '
Oh no ' did you do something wrong? Was Raven not nice to them? This whole nice thing was getting difficult, maybe it didn 't even matter with these guys.
'Sure. '
They played the song and you practiced a bit and corrected them with some parts as they wrote down how it was supposed to go. It went pretty well and you felt good with your dance.
'Thanks for playing my song. Farewell. ' You gave them a soft bow and then exited the huge room. You wondered if you played that right ' who knows?
~
The bards shared a glance after you left.
'Is she feeling okay? '
Megumi shrugged, 'That was the nicest I've ever seen her. Last time she said we played like a donkey 's ass. '
'I feel bad now, maybe we shouldn 't have avoided her all this time ' '
'It could be a lie. '
' 'Maybe 'there 's just something different ' you can see it in her eyes. '
*~*~*~*~*~*
6 Days Later
*The night before the ceremony*
The time was upon you. You had one final night in this bed before your getaway. You did all you could within this month. You put all your efforts into your magic and mapped out your plan of escape. It wasn 't hard because ' doing magic was fun! Something you couldn 't do in the real world so it was so exciting to do. You always got so happy when you made sparks on your fingertips or called forth a book to your hand. Sometimes it took a toll on you though. If you did toooo much you 'd start feeling dizzy and get a headache. Sometimes your body would even get sluggish and too heavy to move. Luckily Mei Mei would doctor you up afterward thinking it was because you practiced your dance too much. The healing here was insane. A lot of things were insane to you. The music, food, hell even the animals! It was interesting but you were ready to go home. Being the most hated person in the omega house was lonely and though you could have been nice and played your cards differently you didn 't want to end up with Mahito... or any other alpha for that matter. In truth, you were scared of the unknown. Scared that your death is written in the stars and you can 't change it no matter what you do.
That 's how Isekais worked right? Some did others didn 't. You just didn 't want to roll the dice.
You sighed feeling your heart thump heavily within your chest. You are so nervous. You could barely sleep. Tomorrow you will leave this place and be out in the wild. You will dance and then slip away into the night while everyone watches Dove. While everyone falls in love with her.
Why couldn 't you have been Dove? Would you have stayed if that were the case? What would you have done differently?
Somewhere within the chattering of your mind, sleep found you for what felt like a wink. When morning came the castle was bustling with excitement. Chefs, maids, and servants ran around like busy bees. Omegas dance their heart away in the garden while you finish your walk around the castle marking your blind spots. If you escaped east you could make it to Kyotoma, that was the goal. You will hide your scent and dress in a black cloak and shawl that will cover you head to toe with just your eyes revealed. It will be night when you arrive there. You will get plenty of rest to push on to the next town, taking breaks as you go. Finally, you will need to find someone with a ship that will take you to the lost island. Money will be your main issue. You can find herbs and spices in the woods and sell them, or maybe you work for someone in each town until you can move to the next one.
You had a solid plan with a few loose strings but you can tighten them up along the way. Hopefully, you can make it to your destination without getting caught. How much would Mei Mei spend to have you back? Would you have a run-in with an alpha? The possibilities of the unknown were endless but you had to at least try. It was the best plan you had. You knew how to hold your own with monsters- knew all their weaknesses and how to deal with people.
You were ready for this.
'
You got this. '
After doing your walk you slipped into the kitchen thinking it would be empty. Yet you found someone crying as they worked alone.
'Must be perfect. Must be perfect! - What are you doing here! ' The person turned to you with a squeak.
You always came into the kitchen when it wasn 't so busy, today it seemed it would always be busy.
'Uh, I was just getting a snack. ' You glanced around the kitchen seeing it to be a disaster.
'Grab your snack and go I don 't have time for this, I need to make sure the food is perfect for the alphas or it will be my head! '
'Oh ' ' your eyes drifted to the clothes the blue-haired woman was wearing. It was the white and red head chef uniform. You knew exactly what happened to her ' she was killed by the blood fiend Sukuna who deemed her food to be disgusting. He then appointed Uraume as head chef.
You swallowed nervously not wanting this woman to be killed. She was panicking, the kitchen smelt like a soggy swamp. You took a deep breath trying to not smell as much, 'Relax ' I 'll help you. '
'Help?! How can you help? Do you know how to cook? '
You shrug, 'I can 't cook this stuff but I can help you with your dish. Come here, I can tell you what each alpha likes. '
The woman looked surprised, 'You know what they like? How? '
You released a chuckle, you know what all of the alphas like. 'Okay listen up alright. I promise you won 't die tonight. Let 's see 'for Gojo you need to serve him something sweet. The choca sac is the sweetest thing on the planet (of this world) make a chicken with that glazed on top and you will have him bowing before you. Getou likes pasta, make him something with noodles and make sure it 's not too sweet, he 's a bit opposite of Gojo. Nanami likes his vegetables and Toji just loves meat, but make it spicy, as spicy as you can make it and if you taste it and you think it 's too hot make it spicier. To the point it burns your mouth and kills your taste buds. Aaaand Sukuna ' ' you sighed deeply looking over the mountains of food. 'You ' you are gonna need human meat for him ' he likes to eat ' people ' '
'Oh my- ' the woman gasped in disgust.
'Find a dead body and cook it up, doesn 't matter he will eat it. Although he likes his meal more fresh and his favorite part is the heart so do with that information as you will ' um cook it with a lot of seasoning ' not necessarily spicy but kind of how you 'd cook a typical dish ' you really can 't go wrong with it ' is there anything else I missed ' ' You hummed tapping your lip. 'I think that 's it ' you got all of that? '
The head chef hummed as she finished writing all of your words down in her notepad. 'Yeah ' I think so 'um ' she looked up at you with soft eyes. 'Are you ' sure this is what they like? '
According to the alpha book. Yes.
'Yes. '
She looked a little nervous but seeing as she had no other ideas she nodded her head, 'Okay 'thanks ' um my name is Kasumi Miwa ' '
'Raven. '
'R-Raven? ' Miwa gasped.
You sighed, 'Yes, don 't tell anyone I help you, they may think I 've grown soft. ' You smiled giving her a wink before waving off. 'Good luck Miwa. '
Miwa stood in the kitchen glancing down at her list. She couldn 't believe Raven of all people helped her. She heard about you. About your mean streak, even came across your path once or twice and vowed to never cross it again but she didn 't even recognize you when you came in. Your smell wasn't the same and you seemed ' different.
'I hope this works. ' Miwa sighed getting to work. She had half a mind to think that you were setting her up for failure but there was something about you that had her trusting that you were not in the same mean spirit as she 's seen before. You were ' off but in a good way. She could tell by your eyes
