Chapter 53 - Endgame
Dazai walked through the halls, feet mute against the stone-tile floor. He felt...
No. He didn 't feel anything. Feeling was gross, obviously, and he didn 't do it. But if he
had
to feel something, Dazai supposed he could feel
disoriented.
Using his self-harming habits as an excuse to get Snape off of his back had worked wonders, like he 'd predicted. But it was a short-term solution and a long-term problem. The
last
thing Dazai needed was Snape bothering him even more in the future. Unfortunately, short of asserting himself as an ambassador to the Port Mafia, Dazai was otherwise out of options to halt the Philosopher 's Stone investigation.
It was an uncomfortable but necessary evil. If only Snape was more like Mori or Father '
they
wouldn 't have insisted on having such a probing conversation. Granted, he also would have walked away fom the encounter with quite a few unwanted injuries.
