Ron 's mouth fell agape, a look of brief annoyance pinching his expression together.

Fred and George leaned forward, conspiratorial, with matching grins. Dazai raised a hand to cut them off before they could take their teasing too far.

Their group consisted of Dazai, Blaise, the twins, Hermione, and Ron. They were bunched up together at far-end of the Gryffindor table during breakfast, whispering amongst themselves in light of the previous night. Every so often, their group would get an odd look from the other students. Dazai pointedly ignored the watching eyes, only looking up every so often to glare at anyone who wandered close enough to eavesdrop.
