Chapter 8 - Apprehension
The slow, sentimental song playing on the radio clashing with the party music booming in the other rooms made Rolf 's office an extremely uncomfortable place to be, but Franky had no other choice but to endure this cacophony and sit on the other man 's silky couch as Rolf delivered the information he paid for.
'Where did you hear this from? '
Rolf took a long drag of his cigar and sank further into the couch, his meaty neck wobbling around like a block of tofu. 'The SSS are onto me. When they came to question me a few days ago, I overheard the junior agent talking about that captured spy. '
As the owner of Club Holly who also secretly dabbled in information exchange, Rolf Hirschm 'ller must have used bugs or snitches to eavesdrop on the guests at his club. What better place to gather intel than a club full of drunks and party goers? In fact, there might even be bugs recording their conversation right now.
'Who are the agents that came to question you? '
Rolf smirked, blowing a mouthful of smoke at Franky 's face. 'That 'll cost you extra, buddy. '
Franky slammed five-hundred Dalc onto the table.
Twilight 's next mission is a perilous one. I 'll need all the intel I can get.
'Didn't catch their names, but the senior agent has two scars down his left eye, and the junior one has downward slanted eyes and slicked back hair with a tuft of hair falling above his left brow. '
The one with scars ' Franky knew who that was. Twilight had disguised as him before when they interrogated Yor for the first time. As for the other one, he'd have to look into it '
"Don't worry about me getting caught though. I have a plan."
Franky scoffed mentally.
Like I care.
Before he could open his mouth to end this conversation, the song playing on the radio came to an end.
"That last ditty was called 'Hearts of East and West,' the Berlint in Love theme song. Now let 's open the phone lines for some callers. Here 's one from a new listener, 'Loidman.' Thank you for calling in. Mister Loidman, I heard you got quite the event today. What's going on?"
'I want to ask for advice on something that's been bothering me and my family. Recently there's been a rabid chihuahua lurking around the dumpster near my house. It bites at everything and is causing all of us headaches. In fact, as I'm talking right now, I can see it mawing on a mop by the dumpster through my window ' '"
Chihuahua? Mop?
The two familiar codenames stood out from Twilight's call, causing warning bells to ring in the back of Franky's mind
"I gotta go." He stood up abruptly and was out the door before the head honcho could utter a word.
He must get this information to Twilight, no matter what it took. But to do so, he'd first need to lose the SSS on his tail.
Tick. Tick.
Seconds felt like hours.
The subordinate agents Yuri sent to watch Franky Franklin's residence had yet to report through their radio of the suspect's arrival, so he had to hold off on arresting Twilight who had gotten off work and arrived at 128 Park Avenue roughly an hour ago. It had been three hours since Yuri situated himself on a tree across the street to keep an eye on Twilight 's residence in case he got off work early.
So far, they only had circumstantial evidence that could incriminate Loid Forger. According to the Boss, Twilight supposedly suffered from a thigh wound caused by a piercing weapon during his last mission, so if Loid Forger happened to have a recently scarred stab wound on his thigh, then this could further establish his guilt. However, proving his guilt or innocence (unlikely) could be done at the HQ
after
they arrested him.
Guilty until proven innocent. This was the motto encapsulating the beliefs guiding the SSS. They couldn't afford to believe in the wrong person's innocence and give them time to either make their escape or cause more chaos within Ostania. There was already a cold war brewing and the peace between Ostania and Westalis was shaky at best and therefore couldn't withstand a single provocation. And so, suspicion became a probable cause for arrest. They could prove the accused's innocence
after
they had them in custody and cut off all their escape routes.
Yuri wasn 't surprised that Twilight never slipped up since he was Westalis ' best spy after all and had evaded capture for over a dozen years. Even the wiretap he installed on the Forger residence 's telephone didn 't reveal anything incriminating. All the phone calls were either calls to and from work, school, or to that radio station the family enjoyed listening to. Maybe he could have gotten something worthwhile if he had planted bugs in their house, but fearing it might also catch
'those
sounds, Yuri ended up crossing out this option. It was fine. The circumstantial evidence he had was enough to warrant Loid Forger 's arrest, and he could make the bastard spill everything
after
having him cuffed in their interrogation room.
'Sir, the suspect has returned! Over! '
Yuri snatched the radio off of his belt. 'Move in. Don 't let him get away. Over. '
The time had come.
For the forged Forger family to come to an end.
When he unlocked the Forger house and slammed the door open, Twilight was sitting on the couch drinking coffee with his business bag right beside him. It had been an hour since he got off his fraudulent psychiatrist work yet he was still dressed in his work outfit with his work bag right next to him? It was almost as if he was waiting '
You're insinuating the impossible.
Yuri shook the thought away and let a sneer grace his face when Twilight was startled into nearly spilling his coffee.
"Yuri!" The spy exclaimed with false geniality. "What's the matter? Why are you dressed like '"
"Loid Forger." Yuri's voice was cold and distant, the kind of tone he'd only use on the most unforgivable traitors and spies. Hearing that made Twilight 's fake smile freeze on his face, like he was nervous.
Good, he better be.
Yuri whipped out his badge and smirked when the spy 's eyes widened. "Or shall I say, 'Twilight'? You're under arrest for suspicion of espionage."
" 'What?" Eyebrows drawn together, a twitch in his lips, stiffened shoulders, a convincing display of bewilderment. As expected of a master spy.
"Don't try to deny. I 've acquired solid evidence to incriminate you so I suggest you come along with me before I use force. ' Yuri drew his gun and pointed it at Twilight, who immediately put his hands up with an alarmed look.
'W-Wait, this is a misunderstanding!" Twilight argued in vain. Honestly, his behavior right now was kind of pathetic. Yuri expected more from the legendary spy. Twilight should know acting innocent was fruitless, so why ' Could he be buying time? For what? He couldn't have alerted any of his spy colleagues; Yuri made sure of that, so could he be waiting for Yuri to show an opening so he could strike first and kill him? "What 's going on here? Who 's Twilight? And Yuri, you 're part of the SSS? Does Yor know about this!? '
"Keep her name out of your
filthy
mouth!" Yuri spat, glaring daggers at the spy who gulped. He opted against answering the question and closed in the distance between them, grabbing Twilight 's wrist and jerking it behind his back. The spy hissed but otherwise showed no resistance when he was shoved onto the couch and both hands were cuffed behind his back. Yuri held him down with a knee on his lower back and a hand on his neck, pressing Twilight's face into the couch and aiming the muzzle at the back of his head.
Twilight, the master spy Ostanians had been chasing for ages, cuffed and at his mercy.
It felt like a dream come true.
If there was one thing Yuri learned from his one year of being in the State Security Service, it was to never expect things to go smoothly. Something always went wrong.
Always.
It 's too easy. It shouldn 't be this easy.
He glanced around cautiously.
Was I right in assuming he was buying time? But how could he have alerted any backup? I 'm sure I didn 't slip up. I didn 't even provoke him this morning, so what could have '
Movement flashed in the corner of his eyes and Yuri immediately pointed his gun at it, at Twilight 's bedroom door, at the figure that came out of it, at 'his dear sister, Yor.
'Sis!? ' Yuri gaped, his head pounding as he tried to wrap his brain around the situation. It didn 't make sense. Nothing made sense. The hand that was holding his gun shook and slackened when he registered who exactly he was preparing to use deadly force on. 'What ' How ' Why are you here!? '
'So he was right ' You really are in the SSS ' ' Yor 's eyes widened in disbelief. But that was all there was in them. Disbelief at the fact that her brother was a Secret Police. No disappointment, fear, or betrayal were shown on her face, and this gave Yuri a sliver of hope that their relationship wasn 't in shambles, yet.
'What do you mean by 'he '? ' Yuri snapped his head towards the spy beneath him. 'You bastard! ' He seethed, tightening his hold on Twilight's neck and effectively cutting off his airway. 'Did you tell my sister about my job!? '
"Y-Yu '" Twilight gasped, blood rushing to his face as he struggled against the hand choking him with his eyes pleading, the pulse beating under Yuri's thumb and middle finger picking up speed. "Let 'g- Ugh, p-please."
Yuri pointed his gun back at Twilight and '
Swiiiish.
A terrifyingly strong force knocked the gun out of his hand, followed by a loud thud as something was embedded into the wall.
Yuri turned his head stiffly.
A sharp, gold weapon shaped like a needle was pinning his gun onto the wall through the trigger guard.
That weapon ' The signature weapon of the renowned assassin, Thorn Princess, who was widely feared across Ostania. Even though she only went after spies and traitors and was supposedly on Ostania 's side, she was still on SSS 's radar because she was too dangerous to let loose without any supervision.
So what the hell is her weapon doing here!?
'Yuri, get your hand off of Loid. ' Yor growled.
Growled.
Her eyes, a chilling red, flashed dangerously. Yuri had never realized how close to the color of blood his sister 's eyes were.
'Sis, he 's a spy named Twilight and he 's been taking advantage of y ' '
'No he 's not a spy. And especially not Twilight. '
'You won 't know that for sure since ' '
'Yes I do know! ' Yor whipped out another gold needle, the same needle that should have belonged to Thorn P ' 'Because I 'm an assassin, Yuri. I 've been purging spies and traitors within this country for years under the codename Thorn Princess. And Twilight is someone I 've gone up against. I 've fought him, hand-to-hand, left injuries on him, dire ones that would have affected his daily activities and alerted me immediately if Loid actually was Twilight. I know his stature, estimated build, his scent ' And that
bastard
is
definitely
not my beloved husband, Loid! '
An assassin.
An
assassin.
Hysterical laughter bubbled up in Yuri's throat as his hand loosened its grip on Twilight's neck, suddenly feeling lightheaded. His sister, the purest, loveliest, kindest soul he'd ever known who needed to be adored, treasured, and protected from the filth of this world, was an assassin, the filthiest profession on the planet. This had to be a joke.
"You '? An
assassin?
T-That's not funny, Sis '" Yuri's lips twitched.
"Think back to our childhood, Yuri. Why do you think I returned home all bloodied like that?"
"Cause you worked at a butcher shop and killed animals for a living."
Yor's eyes softened. "That's just a ridiculous lie I made up. I was drenched in blood because I had been slaughtering human filth who were more animal than human."
It did make sense, all things considered, but he couldn't believe it. He
refused
to believe it. Yor couldn't have been an assassin. Why would she be an assassin? What could she possibly gain from '
Suddenly, he was reminded of all the gifts she'd give him even when it wasn't his birthday. The encyclopedia set he had always wanted, the delicious cookies he gawked at with yearning when they went shopping '
She became an assassin for
him.
There weren't many jobs available for a young girl in her teens that paid well enough for her to raise him on her own.
She wanted him to live the best life he could have. He was lonely without parents, so she showered him with love. He had nothing while all other kids could have anything they wanted, so she showered him with gifts. He was her only blood relative, so she would go any lengths to protect and pamper him, just as much as he would do for her.
His sister willingly became tainted by the filth of this world for
his sake.
"Yuri?" The sound of Twilight calling his name softly jolted him back to reality and reminded him of the current situation. The problem here wasn't Yor being an assassin (they could talk about this later), it was Loid Forger being a spy.
"T-Then how do you know I'm in the SSS? If this bastard ' '" Yuri glared at the pliant body beneath him, " ' 'didn't tell you, then how else would you have '"
"Simple. My boss, the Shopkeeper of the Garden, told me. He grew suspicious of you and told me to keep an eye out for you in case I slip up around you."
Garden.
It made sense.
"That 10k Dalc was the amount I paid them to assassinate Twilight."
It all made sense now.
Karen paid Garden, Garden sent Thorn Princess, Yor fought against Twilight and injured him '
"If you insist that Loidy isn't Twilight, then how do you explain this?"
Yuri ripped out the irrefutable evidence he found that could incriminate Loid Forger.
"A receipt?" Twilight mumbled weakly.
"I found it in the trash. A receipt from the day after Twilight supposedly met the Thorn Princess and was injured by her. If you're not Twilight, then tell me why did you go and buy a bottle of painkillers? And don't try to pin it on my sister. I've questioned the cashier who did your purchase. She described you as the customer."
"That's because '" Twilight darted his eyes towards Yor.
"That's because he bought it for me." Yor came close and easily snatched the receipt out of his grasp. "Twilight isn't so weak I can kill him without letting him land a single blow on me. I may be stronger but he's a sly rat of a man who isn't afraid to use my weakness against me. He threatened my family, Yuri. All the things he'd do once he gets his hands on them. When I heard that, I let my emotions get the better of me and that was the opportunity he needed to retaliate and make his escape."
The thought of someone like Twilight wandering around knowing Yor's secret job troubled Yuri, but he shoved it to the back of his mind to focus on the more pressing matter.
"You said you left dire injuries on him that would have affected his daily activities. How do you know Loidy wasn't just hiding them? He's a master spy after all. Acting is a part of his arsenal."
Yor bit her lips and looked away, blushing. Yuri's mind decided to helpfully bring up the chapter he once read as a recruit about body language and signs of lying.
"W-Well, that's because ' I've seen him."
"What?"
Yor repeated, louder, her entire face flaring up. "I've seen his body when we slept together, ok!?"
Twilight's neck started to heat up under Yuri's grip as well. He turned so his face was hidden by the couch but his red ears exposed his embarrassment. "Y-Yor, why are you yelling something like this?"
"What other choice do I have? You're about to be arrested as a spy!"
"I know, but still '"
Yuri felt like something exploded in the back of his mind. He couldn't even focus on the couple arguing before him. All he could hear was the confession, ringing, echoing in his mind.
"When we slept together '"
"Slept together '"
"Slept '"
"S '"
" '"
Yuri.exe had crashed.
He only returned to the land of reality, albeit barely, when Yor jostled him off of Twilight. She grabbed onto the handcuff like she was planning on breaking it apart with her bare hands ' 'and knowing her, this was certainly possible ' 'before apparently changing her mind and turning to Yuri who still hadn't recovered from that bomb she dropped earlier.
"The key, please?"
"Please?"
"Plea '"
"P '"
" '"
Yuri gripped at his chest, feeling like he got sucker punched in the gut. He was always weak to Yor whenever she pleaded with those puppy eyes of hers.
"A-Anything for you '" He started to hand the key over, but then he remembered. "Wait!"
Yor's explanation was convincing.
Anything
she said was convincing. But this wasn't just anything. This had to do with Twilight, and Yuri couldn't let himself be led astray by the nose as easily as he did with anything else.
"I need to see the proof with my own eyes. Proof that Lottie isn't Twilight."
"How do you plan on doing that?" Twilight asked, fear still remnant in his eyes.
It felt good seeing that fear, because if he was wary of Yuri due to him being in the SSS, then he would watch how he conducted himself when dealing with Yor. If there was one good thing that came out of revealing his actual job to the two, this was that.
"Take off your pants."
Yor spun her head around so fast her long strands of hair nearly whipped Yuri in the face.
"W-W-What are you saying, Yuri!? He's
mine
!
My
husband!" She hovered protectively over Twilight like a mother hen guarding her chick.
"That's not what I '" Even Twilight glanced at him with an apprehensive look. "D-Dammit! Don't make this weird! I just want to check his thighs for scars! If he isn't Twilight, then he wouldn't have a scarred stab wound on his thigh!"
"Oh '" Yor turned to look at Twilight's crotch, her face red to the point Yuri feared her head would explode. "
Oh."
A few seconds passed and no one made a move, so she said, "R-Right. I'll 'um 'help."
Under the two men's incredulous gaze, Yor knelt between Twilight's legs and reached out to undo his belt with trembling hands. Twilight froze, gaping at her in blatant disbelief.
Yuri, on the other hand, felt his heart shatter into a bazillion pieces.
He was the one who asked for it, and there was nothing wrong with this scene if he didn't view it with a dirty mind. The intention behind her move was pure and it was all for the sake of checking Twilight's thighs for scars. Nothing indecent. But this scene, the sight of his beloved sister undoing another man's belt 'like she was planning on giving him a '
"I-I'll do it!" Yuri grabbed Yor's hands and wrenched them as far away from the belt as possible before settling between Twilight 's legs to unzip the fly and slide his pants down.
Yor made a strangled noise and looked away while covering her face. Strange how she was embarrassed by this despite having already slept with Twilight, but Yuri didn 't find this oddity important enough to dwell on now.
At a mere glance, there were no recent scars on Twilight 's thighs. There were scars, but they were all old, from the faint, white scars of knife cuts to the patches of dark burn marks on his inner thigh that disappeared underneath his black underwear.
'Why would a doctor have knife and burn scars? ' Yuri sneered, pressing the pad of his thumb into a particularly nasty burn mark that was shaped like some kind of symbol but he couldn 't discern it due to how messed up and grotesque it was and relishing in the flinch he got out of the spy. 'Unless you 're a spy who 's gotten these through battles and tortures and the likes. '
Twilight let out a shaky sigh and smiled tiredly, just a bare lift of his lips like he couldn 't be bothered to actually smile. 'M-My father ' He wasn 't 'exactly a good man. I used to cut myself to relieve the stress. The pain I inflicted on myself made me feel better. I know that doesn 't make sense but this was the only escape I had back then. My mind was a mess after my father passed away, and it took years of therapy with multiple therapists and psychiatrists to help me overcome it. That 's actually one of the reasons why I became a psychiatrist: to give back to society after people in this career have helped me. '
The insults Yuri had prepared were at his lips, but he couldn 't get them out of his mouth. He knew Twilight 's story was most likely made up since he was a spy, and even if he wasn 't and this story was genuine, Yuri had no reason to feel sorry for the man. Loid Forger was the bastard who stole his sister 's heart, whether he was a spy or not didn 't matter much in the grand scheme of things. He should be a target of Yuri 's animosity, not his sympathy!
'Yuri, isn 't this enough?" Yor peaked from the gaps between the fingers covering her face. "You see how he doesn't have any recent stab wounds. I told you. He's not Twilight."
Was this enough? Yuri wasn't sure. He had come this far. All the clues merged into a single trail leading towards Loid Forger. Was he wrong? Was Loidy innocent? Had he been accusing an innocent man this whole time? He should not be wasting any more of his precious time on him if this was the case, because Twilight who knew Yor's identity was still out there. But what if there was something he overlooked? What if he was on the right track, and he just had to think outside the box? When was it time to move onto the next suspect? How would he know? Or should he keep investigating, putting all his resources on Loidy? What if he turned out to be innocent? That would be time
and
resources wasted.
"No ' Not yet." Yuri shook his head, his bangs falling over his eyes. "He could be using foundation or something to cover up his scar." He splayed out his hands and ran them down Twilight's thighs, paying close attention to the unblemished areas surrounding the scars. He had never used foundation himself so he had no idea what it would feel like, but according to some women he heard from, it should be a dusty, cakey sensation which would be quite noticeable if he were to come across a large patch of it.
He was feeling around the backside of Twilight's thighs when he heard it, a tiny, stifled noise. Not quite a whine, but not quite a moan either.
Yuri raised his head in alarm, his hands freezing in their place.
Twilight was looking everywhere but him, his face heavily flushed, lips quivering, and his shoulders flexing a little like he wanted to cover his face in embarrassment but couldn't do so due to the handcuffs.
He was also pitching a tent.
Yuri was up on his feet and ten feet away within seconds.
"S-Sorry! I'm a bit pent up lately '" Twilight dipped his head like he wanted to sink into the couch and never see the light of day ever again.
If nothing else, this mortified expression that exuded genuineness with every twitch of his lips and every square inch of pink dusting his cheeks was the sight that made Yuri decide to stop doubting Loid Forger.
There 's no way in HELL this guy is the master spy Twilight.
Traces of shame still found their way to Loid's face after Yuri left. He couldn't believe his body betrayed him like this. What was he? A sexually frustrated teenage boy!?
The job of a spy often left him no time for any form of pleasure. Then came Operation Strix which gave him even less opportunities, and he was glad he never tried to find time for that since Anya would have read his mind and become traumatized if he had done so. And then it was the whole thing with Yor putting him in a tensed state for a week straight. The sharing of bed and arousing kiss reminded him of how pent up he was, and Yor lying about sleeping with him only intensified his need for release. Yuri touching his sensitive thighs was simply the last straw that broke the camel 's back.
He lifted his head from his hands when he heard Yor 's giggling.
'Don 't beat yourself up over it, Loid. It 's just basic biology. '
'I 'm glad you found this funny, ' Loid grumbled as he pulled his pants up, the rough material rubbing over his hard on making it even more agonizing. 'Now Yuri 's going to hate me even more, and our relationship is already strained as it is. '
'It 's a good thing that this happened before he could notice the fake skin you used to cover the scar. At least he no longer suspects you as Twilight. He even promised to remove you from his suspect list when submitting his report. '
'I 'm pretty sure he did that for you. Garden is the only one, aside from you, who knows you stabbed me in the thigh. So since Yuri knows about it, it means Garden must have had contacts within the SSS. They know you went up against Twilight and failed. So if Yuri keeps me on the suspect list because he 's still suspicious of me, then Garden would assume me being Twilight is set in stone and brand you as a traitor for not only marrying a spy but also, assumably, losing to me on purpose and failing your mission. So he has no choice but to remove me from the suspect list with your safety in mind, even if he 's still suspicious of me. '
'Maybe you 're right. ' Yor stared at him as he got up and began heading towards the bathroom. 'H-Hey ' Loid, do you want me to ' '
Loid paused with his hand on the doorknob. 'To '? '
Yor 's gaze landed on his crotch and Loid suppressed the urge to cover it up. 'I know you said not to blame myself for hurting you, but I 'm partially to blame for this. ' She walked towards him with a predatory glint in her eyes, the same type of fervor she had when she attacked him with that kiss. Having this intensity concentrated on him when he was already this aroused made heat rush straight to his cock. If his erection wasn 't obvious before, it certainly was now. 'Let me help you. '
The rejection was at the tip of his tongue but Loid nodded instead, his desire for release overpowering his logic. If he was thinking clearly, he would have refused her since Anya would be home soon and he didn 't want to risk them having to wrap up prematurely, but he hadn 't been thinking clearly ever since that confession the other day, ever since she pushed him against the wall and entangled her tongue with his, ever since she reminded him of their wedding vow with that fire in her eyes.
So he allowed her to guide him back onto the couch, pushing him with those dainty yet powerful fingers of hers so he landed on his ass while she climbed up the couch and spread her legs to sit on his lap, pulling him down for a kiss while her fingers started undoing his belt and unzipping his fly. Loid let out a groan when her hand brushed against his clothed erection and he could
feel
her face heating up.
She leaned back and said determinedly, 'I h-haven 't done this before but I 'll try my best to make you feel
really
good. '
'Are you sure you want to do this? I can take care of it myself if you 're not feeling up to it. '
Yor grinned, her eyes bright and pure. 'Don 't worry. I 'm rather good with my hands. '
Dammit.
Loid 's face erupted into flames as her lips hungrily devoured his and her hand cupped his bulge and massaged his cock through the thin material. She wasn 't wrong in saying she was good with her hands. In fact, it might even be an understatement since she was really,
really
good. The shy and reserved Yor he knew was no more, actually, he had been seeing less and less of that ever since their kiss.
It was like a switch had been flipped, like his reciprocation was the encouragement she needed to be more forward in their intimacy. She no longer blushed whenever her hand brushed against his. When they were sleeping on the same bed, she wasn 't afraid to turn to face him and sometimes even snuggle against him. And when she was feeling particularly brave, she would even turn the goodbye kiss in the morning into a heated make out session (and he would, of course, respond with fervor) and regret it after realizing Anya was still in the house and goggling at them with a strange smile.
Perhaps all these make out sessions served as great practice for her since her kissing skills had evidently improved and even Loid was struggling to keep up with her advances.
Finally, she pulled the waistband down to free his cock and started stroking it with her cool fingers. Her hand was soft but still had some calluses, which wasn 't surprising considering her job. Her grip around his girth tightened to an almost painful degree but the strokes were at just the right pace to ease some pleasure into his discomfort. The sensation of the rough calluses rubbing his shaft and her thumb brushing over his slit with each upstroke sent jolts of electricity down his spine and had him bucking up into her hand and moaning into the kiss.
Almost instantly, realization slammed into him and Loid jerked back, covering his mouth in disbelief at the noise he made as his face rapidly heated up, but Yor wasn 't having it. She grabbed his wrist with her iron grip and tugged it away from his mouth. 'Let me hear you, ' she ordered, and
holy shit
that was hot as fuck.
His eyes darkened with lust and he shot forward to reclaim her lips, gripping her hips to bring her closer to him and letting out a low growl when she rolled her hips forward, grinding on his cock. He bit her lips to make her open up and sneaked his tongue inside, sliding over her tongue and making her shiver at the contact.
'You 're going to be the death of me, Yor Forger, ' he muttered when she broke the kiss to catch her breath.
'What can I say. ' Yor panted, a pretty pink fanning her cheek. 'I 'm good at my job. '
Loid couldn 't help the excited smile that climbed onto his face or the heat stirring in the pit of his stomach. 'Too good, ' he mumbled as he buried his face into the juncture between her neck and shoulder, breathing in her wonderful scent as he began to suck at the milky skin. He pricked the skin with his teeth, hard enough to draw blood, but Yor neither winced nor flinched. She continued stroking him in the same steady pace as she brought her other hand to the back of his head, running her fingers through his hair and messing it up.
'I like you better with your bangs down. '
'Yeah? ' Loid licked the bloodied, bruised skin.
'It makes you look more youthful and less like the seasoned warrior your reputation denotes. '
'I 'll be sure to let it down more often then, especially when we 're doing things like this. '
Yor responded to his teasing remark with a harsh stroke, earning a gasp from Loid.
'Y-You 're really getting used to this, huh? ' Loid stuttered out against the pressure building up in his lower abdomen. 'Where 's the Yor who can 't initiate a single kiss without alcohol? '
'Who needs alcohol when kissing you means I get to see you all messed up and moaning under my touch? ' Yor grinned wickedly. It was the same type of grin Anya had on her face whenever something terrible went down. Now he knew where she learned that from. 'The greatest spy from Westalis, reduced to a blushing mess because his wife is too good with her hands. What I wouldn 't give to see this side of you more often? '
'You 're such a sadist. '
'And you love me for it. ' Yor 's smile suddenly dropped as if she ran out of confidence. ' 'Right? '
'Of course I do. ' Loid cradled her face and rubbed the frown away. 'I knew what I signed up for when I kissed you that night. I expected nothing less from one of Ostania 's greatest assassin. '
Yor beamed, and he smiled back, but then she stopped stroking him and got off his lap.
'Yor? '
She knelt between his legs, the same posture she held when she moved to undo his belt earlier when Yuri was here. But this time, there was no third wheel to interrupt them, no appearances they had to keep up, no danger looming over their necks in the form of a SSS officer.
This time, she gazed up at him with pure, unadulterated adoration in her eyes.
'My first time. For you. Loid Forger. '
Before taking his cock into her mouth and stealing Loid 's breath away.
She licked a stripe up the side before plunging down the whole length into her warm, wet mouth, letting the blunt cockhead hit the back of her throat without any signs of her gag reflex responding to the obstruction. It was a smooth ride the entire way down, like she had been doing this for years.
'Fuck! Ah ' Yor! '
Loid scrambled for purchase and grabbed her hair, moving to cover his mouth before changing his mind and moaning loudly. He could feel her chuckles reverberating against his cock as she held it there, letting the muscles of her throat clench around it for a few seconds before withdrawing.
She took a deep breath then eased it back into her mouth, building a slow, steady rhythm and teasing his cock with her tongue in various ways. When she realized that swirling her tongue around the tip whenever she worked her way to the top made him shiver every single time without fail, she began to repeat the motion, attacking the cockhead unrelentlessly while her nimble fingers fondled with his balls.
Loid wanted to close his eyes and lose himself in this pleasure but he couldn 't tear his eyes away from her, from the way saliva and precum dripped down her chin, from the way her plump, kissable lips wrapped around his cock, from the way her mesmerizing crimson eyes gazed up at him behind her thick eyelashes. He wanted to remember this sight, this sensation, this experience forever.
She lightly grazed her teeth against his shaft on her way up and he shuddered, tightening his grasp on her hair as the pressure building within him intensified. His balls throbbed, his cock tensed up, and the muscles in his abdomen contracted. He was almost there. Just a little more. Just a little '
Yor scraped her nail along his inner thigh, his most sensitive area where the grotesque, symbol-like burn mark was located, and he came with a muffled cry, barely able to push her off of his cock on time before he orgasmed.
He panted heavily, hardly registering Yor stroking him to help him ride out the aftershock. He felt lightheaded and his limbs were all numb. The endorphin rush hit him harder than it ever had in the past. It had been so long since he had masterbated or gotten laid. He really needed this.
When Loid finally came to his senses, he yelped at the sight of Yor 's face covered with his cum.
'I 'm so sorry! ' He scrambled to his feet, yanking his trouser up so he didn't trip on it as he went to grab a box of tissues. 'F-Forgive me, Yor! I wasn 't paying attention to where I was ' '
Yor giggled as she wiped her face. 'Did you enjoy it? ' She asked instead, her voice cracking up a little.
'Of course I did. '
Her smile widened. 'That 's all I needed to hear. ' She got up from the floor and stretched, popping her joints. 'I 'm going to clean my face in the bathroom. '
'Okay. '
Loid made good use of the time to clean up the scene, making sure not a single trace of what they did remained. When Yor came out of the bathroom, he had brewed tea and was placing two cups of tea on the table. Usually, the Forger family had their tea time on the couch, but he 'd rather stay away from that couch for the rest of the day.
'Licorice root tea, for your throat. '
Yor sat on the chair across from him and brought the cup to her lips, inhaling its scent. 'Thank you Loid. '
'It 's nothing you need to thank me for. In fact, I should be the one thanking you. I really needed that. Who knows what else I would have done to embarrass myself if I hadn 't taken care of the problem today? '
The reminder of what happened with Yuri had Yor giggling to herself while Loid chuckled dryly.
'By the way, ' Yor put down the cup with a grave look, 'If you don 't want to share, it 's fine, but ' How did you get that burn mark on your thigh? '
'Yuri guessed it right, actually. ' Loid took a sip of his own tea, the warmth sliding down his throat making his whole body want to melt. 'It happened during one of the rare times I got caught as Twilight and was tortured. They were pretty creative with it, and one guy decided to use the branding iron on me. Of course, I escaped and killed them all afterward so my identity wouldn 't get leaked. '
Yor stared at him with her mouth open for a long time before a strong emotion entered her eyes. It wasn 't the passionate ardor she had in them when she kissed him; it was the zeal, the
fire
she had whenever someone disrupted the peace of their little pretend family. It was the will to protect what she held precious to her no matter what or who got in her way. 'It won 't happen again, ' she vowed, reaching across the table to hold onto his hand with her eyes ablaze. 'I won 't let anything happen to you, or to the rest of my family, if I can help it. '
And it was this intense look in her eyes that made him fall for her all over again.
'Thank you, Yor. In return, allow me to do the same for you. '
Yor beamed, that look vanished in an instant. 'So I guess we 're safe now that Yuri no longer suspects us? '
'Not quite. ' Loid downed the rest of his tea in one go. 'We don 't know all the people involved in this investigation yet. Yuri might have already stopped doubting me, but this doesn 't mean others have done the same. We can 't let down our guards yet. '
Thankfully, I 've already come up with over a dozen scenarios and plans to counter them. Since Yuri is now dealt with, I will have to modify some of these plans '
The doorbell suddenly rang and Anya 's voice was heard from behind the door.
What followed was the Forger 's daily routine of Yor helping bath Anya, the two of them helping Anya with her homework together, letting her watch her favorite spy cartoon while Loid cooked dinner, and a pleasant conversation of the events that happened that day over dinner.
Yuri didn 't show up for any one of these events. His job usually required him to work overtime, but he usually would have returned on time to help Anya with her homework. But today, the Forger family was preparing for bed and he still hadn 't shown up.
'But Anya wants to wait for Unkie Chihuahua! ' Anya objected, shuffling backward until her back hit the corner of the couch.
'He might not even come home tonight. You should go to sleep already. ' Yor tried.
'But two mar row is Saturday! I don 't have school! '
'If you want to catch up to your classmates ' height, you 'll need to get plenty of sleep each night. ' Loid explained as he dried his hand on a towel after finishing with the last dishes. He moved to turn off the radio that had just finished playing a pop song but his hand halted in midair when a familiar name came up.
"That last song was
'Wer wenn nicht wir' by Wincent Weiss
. Now let 's bring in some callers. Here 's one from a longtime listener, 'King Scruffy.' Always good to hear from you, man. What story do you have for us tonight?"
"When I was still a youth baseball coach two years ago, there was a time when two of our best batters called in sick two hours before our second game of the season began. Additional team batters were neither baseball enthusiasts nor swole and adaptive enough. Bystanders then brought in '"
2 years, 2 batters, 2 hours, 2nd game.
This was the format of Cipher 2.
Start with the 2nd sentence, skip every 2nd word, start with the 2nd letter of each word, 2 letters per word.
Loid closed his eyes and divided the sentence in his mind.
If he were to apply this cipher on Franky 's message, he 'd get:
Start with the 2nd sentence, skip every 2nd word:
'Additional batters neither enthusiasts swole adaptive bystanders brought ' '
Which was further broken down into:
Start with the 2nd letter of each word, 2 letters per word:
'dd at ei nt wo da ys ro ' '
'D-date in two days ro ' '
D-date in two days? D as in Death? The only date on his mission related to death was the execution date for that spy '
Has it been moved to two days from today? That doesn 't give me a lot of time to prepare. This isn 't good. Infiltrating the SSS HQ is already a grueling task in and of itself. I can 't rush it. I 'm going to need more information. What was the rest of his message? Rolf Hirschm 'ller is being investigated? And by these two agents? I already have their disguises made. Perhaps I can disguise myself as one of them and '
Anya, who had been staring at him and, apparently, reading his mind, went to Bond and grabbed both sides of his head. 'It 's your time to shine, Bond! '
That 's right. I 'm not alone anymore. It 's ok to ask for help. I prefer not to involve Anya in my missions if possible, but her telepathy and Bond 's precognition did help me come up with this stratagem in time for Yuri 's apprehension of me. I 'll ask her to look into Bond 's mind just this once. Hopefully he can provide me with some valuable intel '
Having read his mind, Anya turned back towards Bond as the dust particles around her head started to sparkle even brighter.
However, before any telepathy and precognition could be done, the door opened revealing the tired form of Yuri Briar, trudging in with a face like death looming over him.
'Yuri, are you ok? ' Yor, always the caring sister, was at his side in an instant. 'How did it go? Did you get in trouble? '
Yuri brushed off her hands with a tired grin. 'Don 't worry about it. I 've talked it over with the Boss and I 'm pretty sure I 've persuaded him that Lottie isn 't a threat. '
Loid patted Anya 's head to get her attention when she started to read Yuri 's mind.
Don 't listen to his thoughts for the rest of the day. His work at the SSS isn 't appropriate for children to see or hear.
He waited until she nodded obediently before turning to Yuri and asking, 'Did you have dinner yet? If not, I can go ahead and heat up some food for you. '
Yuri gritted his teeth like he was forcing himself not to say something he really wanted to say, and finally spat out a 'I would appreciate that ' after glancing at Anya.
Loid barely took a step in the direction of the kitchen before the doorbell rang, causing all five occupants to turn their heads.
Visitors? It 's nearly 2200 on a Friday night. Who would be visiting at this hour?
As he went to open the door, Anya grabbed onto his pants, her grip shaky and her eyes wide with fear and panic. She opened her mouth but nothing came out, probably because she was afraid saying anything would reveal her secret to Yuri.
'Don 't worry, Anya. I can deal with this. '
I 've dealt with more devastating situations. I doubt this would be more dire than having to stop a missile from launching at the last second.
Anya still seemed petrified, so Loid ruffled her hair and gave her his most assuring grin before opening the door.
Standing on their front steps were three SSS agents. The middle one and the one on the right were the two agents investigating Rolf Hirschm 'ller, as stated in Franky's coded message. The one on the right with the downward slanted eyes smirked when he saw Yuri who looked just as confused as Loid was.
So Yuri isn't behind this.
The scarred one in the middle whipped out his badge and met Loid 's eyes, and instantly Loid had an idea of what was about to happen. He was all too familiar with that look.
But it 's fine. I have plans made for this scenario, and Yor and Franky are aware of what they needed to do as well. Since Yuri is no longer suspicious of me, Plan 3, 7, and 11 can be removed. I would prefer they go with Plan 1, 2, 5, or 8. Anything but Plan 13 to 15, especially not Plan 15 since that's the riskiest and with the lowest probability of success. But I 'm sure they know that. Yor may not be smart enough for an operation like this but Franky definitely is. He 'll know what to do. It 'll be fine.
'Loid Forger. ' Loid steeled himself for the inevitable, but to his surprise, the scarred officer then turned to Yuri with a remorseful look. 'And Yuri Briar. '
?
'
Both
of you are under arrest for suspicion of espionage. '

'What.
