The streets of Konoha were busy, civilians and ninja alike going home for the evening. There is chatter, the voices loud to be heard over the crowd. Naruto ducked and dodged around them, hurrying toward Ichiraku. Iruka-sensei had found him earlier while walking back from a mission, inviting the blond to dinner. It had been a while, since before the graduation exam, and he was excited. Kakashi even let him out of training early so he had time to get there.

The chuunin was standing against the wall of the shop, a scroll unrolled in his hands. The Hokage had asked Iruka's opinion on next year's curriculum, giving him a scroll to look over. He had plenty of ideas and plenty of changes he wanted to make. How many of them would pass the Hokage's scrutiny he wasn't sure.
