A smile twitched at the corners of his mouth as Gaara slowly came awake, as surprised as he always was that he had managed to fall asleep at all. Warm breath brushed against the nape of his neck and a solid weight shifted against his back, the only two clues he needed to know who was behind him, but Gaara turned his head with a curious hum and played along anyway.

'Who 's there? ' he rumbled in a voice heavy with sleep.
