Tobirama was born with blood on his hip, a dark splash of red to represent a boy who was only three years old at the time but who had already made his first kill, a boy who hated him before they even knew of each other 's existence just because of the clan name he bore. By the time he could walk and talk his mark had changed to a blade, sharp and bright and so realistic he sometimes reached out to grasp the handle without thinking. He understood vaguely what it meant but he was only a year old and the concepts of love or hate were just words to him. What Tobirama understood was that any time he overheard his father speak the word 'Uchiha ' it was with anger and it made him angry too.
