The first night wasn 't usually all that bad as long as he hadn 't done anything particularly strenuous that day. Madara was used to spending a solid twenty-four hours awake at a time just like everyone else who had grown up running missions from the day he learned how to hold a blade. Even the second night wasn 't always terrible in the right circumstances. It had saved his life on a number of occasions when he would have fallen asleep if left to his own devices and possibly left himself vulnerable in enemy territory. Being forced to stay awake on those night was as useful as it was annoying.
