From the moment he learned how to read Tobirama had been perplexed by his soul words. There were only two of them, a shorter sentence than most wore, and they didn 't make much sense to him at the time.

As he grew and his interests in certain areas developed Tobirama began to dabble in creating his own jutsu and the day he first conceived of the idea for the Kage Bunshin Jutsu he thought he may have just figured out the reason behind his soul words. Was it possible that he might be his own soulmate? Where others might have found the idea to be lonely Tobirama found it thrilling, already not a fan of most other people, and the first few trials for the Kage Bunshin Jutsu were rousing failures in his rush to seek such important answers.
