Chapter 53 - Chapter Fifty Three
Zoro 's caught Robin 's body before it even hits the ground. 'How dare you, ' he all but growls.
'I do as I please, ' Eneru says condescendingly.
I didn 't think I could possibly hate this man more. He rips his staff from my numb hands and shoots me a look I barely have the wherewithal to notice, let alone decipher.
I 'm moving before I can even process what I 'm doing. My eyes stay locked on Robin 's body as I sprint across the makeshift battlefield. As me and Zoro cross paths I don 't bother looking his way, but out of the corner of my eye I can see him looking at me.
I skid to my knees beside Robin heedless of the loud clash of metal at my back. My hands hover hesitantly over her burnt shoulders, eyes darting across her face. Her eyes are rolled back into her skull and she 's still faintly twitching through aftershocks.
'Robin? ' I feel myself say. It sounds distant, like I 'm listening from underwater.
That 's probably not good.
