Chapter 8 - In the Dark
Yuri left that night.
He packed his things quickly and barely said goodbye before leaving.
Despite his odd exit, the whole family felt relieved he wasn't there constantly watching them anymore.
Loid quietly moved his things back into his room, and Yor wondered if he felt as disappointed as she did.
It made Yor sad that they wouldn 't be sharing a bed anymore.
After two weeks, she had gotten used to his presence and wanted him to stay.
To say things have heated up between them would have been a huge understatement.
It was exactly the reason why Loid decided it was necessary to go back to his own bed.
Every night, he had to remind himself who he really was, and that this marriage was fake. And every night, he had failed miserably.
It always started with innocent conversation. But even that wasn 't as harmless as it seemed; he had told her more about him than anyone else before. Yor did the same. Why were they confiding in each other so easily? It was dangerous.
Then a laugh here and there, playful teasing that usually resulted in touching, a look in the dark, sudden silence, and all his discipline would go to hell.
The couple had progressed from cuddles and small kisses to full-blown make-out sessions, to hands everywhere, and then what happened on the balcony earlier that evening 'where they were two or three layers of clothes from 'well 'fucking.
As the methodical and controlled man that he always was, he also knew he didn 't have enough will to deny Yor or stop himself from doing something he shouldn 't if they shared the bed one more night.
They
had to
separate.
'What a shame, ' Yor thought alone in her room.
The only thing her husband left behind were the reading glasses he did not use at all during his two-week stay.
He 'd forgotten them on top of the headboard.
Yor grabbed the glasses and sat on the bed, with her knees to her chest, as she often sat when she was in a pensive mood.
Her hair was still a little damp from washing it earlier. Outside her door, Anya slept in her room, and she could hear the shower running.
Loid needed a cold shower. His mind steered to the make-out session he had with his wife a few hours earlier. His body couldn 't calm down. He felt so out of control.
After his shower, he kept shivering even after he had gotten dressed. He dried his hair with a towel and got out of the bathroom to head to his room. But before he could reach the door, he remembered he 'd left his glasses in Yor 's room.
Without much thought, he redirected his steps and knocked on her door softly, to avoid waking up their daughter.
Yor opened the door and, as soon as he saw her face, he totally forgot about his glasses.
It took them less than a second to jump at each other 's mouths.
It was wrong. He knew it very well. Yor didn 't belong to him.
He was just a stand in for someone in her future.
But he was
so
in love.
She didn 't belong to him, but he '
he belonged to her
. Completely.
Was he being cruel?
Was giving himself to her completely a cruel thing?
As his fingertips dug into her skin and pushed her against his body, he found he couldn 't stop himself. It took him a minute to figure out why 'he wasn 't Twilight anymore, but he wasn 't Loid either. With Yor, without noticing it and even against his own will, he was always [Redacted].
That absurd power she had over him was simple and marvelous at the same time. She had done the impossible 'bring [Redacted] back from the dead.
[Redacted] thought about this while his tongue was inside his wife 's mouth.
He was defenseless, at the mercy of her kisses and strong caresses. She was the only one who could stop him.
But Yor wasn 't interested in stopping him.
Instead, she was already pulling his shirt off and unbuttoning his pants.
Neither of them knew if one was pulling or the other one was pushing them towards the bed.
She could see and feel that cute blush he had sometimes, the one that ran across his cheeks, all the way to his ears. Like that, he looked impossibly handsome. Yor wanted him to touch her all over, just like he had done a few hours ago, wrapped in darkness and themselves.
She 'd never done anything like this with anyone and she didn 't understand where this confidence was coming from.
It must be instinct
, she thought amused. Because she couldn 't stop herself from kissing, grabbing, pulling, and even nipping without any of her signature bashfulness.
It was almost like fight.
Her body, trained to kill, also seemed to know how to do this. And she was marveled and thankful for it.
Her husband certainly seemed to be enjoying himself plenty. She loved the noises he made when she touched him a certain way or in a certain place.
She was going to be the death of him.
They were just getting started and he was about to explode.
Somehow in between kisses, he managed to pull his pants out of the way, along with her pajamas.
When they finally reached the bed, he sat there, not letting go of her. Yor straddled him, kissing his neck and jaw. The soft skin of her thighs around him, almost drove him crazy. He 'd always loved her legs.
He grabbed her face with both hands and looked at her. He wanted to see that sweetness she always wore in her eyes. She understood and looked at him, before taking his face to resume kissing him.
Her long dark hair was on his face and the smell was intoxicating. He wanted to claim every part and every inch of her with his lips and his tongue, as if that was his only mission. So, he carefully laid her down, filling her with kisses, over and over, sucking her neck, then her breasts, going down until he reached the inside of her thighs, taking her panties along the way.
He wanted to please her, and he knew exactly how. But just as he was about to do that, Yor 's hand lifted his face and with one commanding look, she told him:
'I want
you
. '
That dangerous look almost made him come undone, but he somehow resisted, as it was just sweet torture.
He understood at once.
Yor giggled as he kissed his way back up to her. He loved making her laugh.
With his brilliant skills, he managed to get rid of his underwear while still kissing her neck and jaw. Finally, there was absolutely nothing between them.
This was their long overdue wedding night, and he was ready, he 'd been ready for a long time. Yet, he needed to ask her:
'Yor, are you sure you want this? ' he panted.
She was blushing and her eyes were two crimson stars, full of light, as she looked at him, smiled like she always did and nodded, before giving him a small kiss.
[Redacted] nodded back and went back to kissing her.
Yor loved him. He knew that much. She would never give herself to anyone she wasn 't in love with. That was the reason why she had waited for so long.
Although he had more experience than her, this was his first time having sex with someone he loved. Mainly because he 'd never been in love with anyone.
He was a bit nervous. Yor must have sensed that (she was always so good at reading him) because she stopped for a second to give him a warm, reassuring look. That was all he needed to gain his confidence back.
She was under him, with her legs open, as he aligned to enter her, slowly.
As things heated up, something in the back of his mind called his attention. Maybe it was all the years of training, but at some point, the word 'protection ' popped into his mind. He had to make a decision. There were some condoms in his room, but he wasn 't there at the moment. [Redacted] knew that if he stepped one foot outside Yor 's bedroom, there was a big chance Twilight might take over and steal this from him. And he wasn 't willing to take that chance.
He couldn 't separate from Yor.
So, he kept going, entering her carefully, as he felt her tense a bit.
Yor bit her lips and made a sound. It was pleasure and pain mixed in together 'the strange sensation of a foreign body inside her.
'Are you okay? ' His husky voice asked in a whisper while brushing some hair off her face. 'We can stop if ' '
She shook her head, with her eyes still closed. 'Just give me a minute. '
He answered back with a kiss, then another one and another one, until Yor was comfortable enough. His kisses relaxed her, and the pain completely faded away, leaving only pleasure. Her breathing became shaky as he started moving carefully. Moans escaped her lips one after another, as he quickened his pace.
She knew about sex from the education she 'd received from the Garden. All theorical information 'biology and body mechanics, nothing more. Later she 'd heard about it from whispered conversations from her colleagues at City Hall 'lust and fun nothing more. But she never understood what was so fascinating about it. She never felt any inclination to try it, and although sometimes curiosity piqued her interest, at the end, she thought it wasn 't worth it. So, she always shrugged it off, thinking that maybe she just wasn 't wired like your average woman. Yet another odd thing to add to the long list.
She never thought that she would allow anyone to enter her heart and her body like this, enough to make her want to be one with someone. Yor understood now what the missing component from the Garden 's explanation and the secret conversations between her friends was 'it was love.
Love was what made it possible.
She loved him. Completely.
More than enough to want to express it physically, just like now.
As he thrusted into her deeper and deeper, her legs started shaking, as she was approaching an unknown edge out of her control. He wasn 't far behind; she could hear him moan desperately too. Yor held onto him tighter, her arms around his neck, her chest rubbing his, arching her back to meet him, her strong legs around him, pushing him further into her. Then, she knew by instinct it was time to let herself go.
He felt her walls throbbing all around him, squeezing him tightly, and then heard a big 'mmmmmmmh ' filled with absolute pleasure. That was too much for him. He finished, panting, as if he had just run for miles.
Slowly, she unhooked her arms from his neck, and tenderly brushed some sweaty hair from his eyes. Still inside her, he ran his nose up her neck before reaching her mouth to kiss her again.
As he looked into her eyes, he wanted to say I love you with words. But, by then Twilight had slowly crept back into his mind.
'It 's better if I don 't, '
he thought a little sad.
'But surely, she must know. Surely, she does, '
[Redacted] answered right back in his thoughts.
Yor smiled sweetly and tired at him, caressing his face, as she did every night.
She did know.
