Chapter 31 - Hell hath no fury like a man who has lost his cat. (part 4)
It really was freezing. Zuigetsu had experienced cold and snow before, but what he 'd experienced in the palace was a far cry from the cold and snow of the northern mountains. He wanted to wrap himself in blankets and sit in front of a warm fire. However, he was leading the army, and if he expected his men to deal with the weather as best they could, he needed to set an example. No complaining. No hiding under a mountain of bedding. He would do his best to keep his shivering from being too noticeable.
They 'd arrived at their destination and set up camp just far enough away from the stronghold that it wouldn 't be immediately obvious they were there. At least it wouldn 't be very noticeable during the day. Once night fell, the lights from the fires would be impossible to ignore. That was okay, though, because if all went as expected, the surprise attack would already be well under way at that point.
