Chapter 35 - Shadows of Memories
'That one? '
'Yes. That one is Sirius, the one my brother was named after. '
'That 's a bright star. '
'The brightest in the late-winter sky. That is when he was born. '
You lean your full weight back, against Levi 's chest. Before you, the forest extends far beyond your vision.
You 're sitting on top of a small hill. Behind you, the camp is quiet and mostly dark. The rest have gone to bed.
Levi volunteered to keep watch, and you 're determined to keep him company.
Ever since he ran back this morning, you 've been holding onto each other. Tightly, almost obsessively, you held hands as you trekked through the snow and wind.
A few times, you threatened to fall behind and those times, without a word Levi picked you up, wrapped you in his cape and carried you until you squirmed your way back on your feet.
The rest have long since decided they want nothing to do with the mess. So, they merely glance uneasily every now and then.
