Sakura dreamt.
In front of her was a cliff, the edge steep and angled, the roaring river below barely audible under the rolls of thunder. Sakura felt as though the downpour was soaking even her bones.
There was movement at the brink of the precipice, but the curtain of rain was making it hard for her to see. Her body felt light, her legs almost hovering over the earth as she approached the edge herself.
It was Shisui, standing still, gazing at the depths of the ravine. A crow was circling in the air above him, cawing loudly, but soon it flew away into the distance. As Sakura came closer, another murder, this time of seven, soared over their heads, eventually getting lost in the heavy rain. Before she could come to stand flush beside him, Shisui turned to look at her. A smile bloomed on his face, and he raised two fingers to salute her.
