The morning was still young when her spring-green eyes blinked the remnants of sleep away. It took a short moment for Sakura 's senses to settle, and she noticed that she hadn 't been moved from the living room. Shisui was still there with her, wide awake; had probably stayed such for the duration of the night, judging by the darkness under his eyes and the fatigue his body radiated. Itachi, it appeared, was long gone, and Sasuke was still in Shisui 's room.

Shisui turned towards her when he heard her shuffling, and helped her sit up. With no words exchanged, he simply stood and left the room. When he came back, he handed her a cup of steaming tea and breakfast.

'You 're awfully quiet, ' Sakura 's comment was not meant as an accusation, and Shisui didn 't take it as such.
